RULES & SAFETY

  1. Right of admission reserved.
  2. Laser Battlefield will require any participant engaging in unacceptable behaviour to immediately leave the Laser Battlefield venue.
  3. Everyone must complete and sign a disclaimer before participating to indicate that you play at your own risk and you understand there are some risks involved.
  4. Laser Battlefield participants must take care not to damage the natural environment in the playing fields. Participants must follow designated pathways where provided.
  5. No smoking on the playing fields (smoking is allowed in designated smoking areas only).
  6. No food or drinks allowed on the playing fields.
  7. No littering.
  8. Each participant must remain within the designated boundaries of the Laser Battlefield venue at all times.
  9. Each participant will be required to wear the following:
    • Long pants and enclosed shoes; and
    • Hats and/or Helmets (removal of hat or helmet by the participant will result in disqualification from the mission);
    • All other safety devices that Laser Battlefield may require the participant to wear.
  10. All participants must follow the directives of Laser Battlefield Marshals, Mission Directors or any staff member at all times.
  11. The organisers reserve the right to re-organise the teams before each mission to ensure balance.
  12. No one is to use their laser weapons before the whistle is blown.
  13. No climbing trees.
  14. In general, you cannot move more than 10 metres from your assigned base camp before the starting whistle blows.
  15. The mission end will be signalled as finished by one whistle blow.
  16. Players start with between 1 and 9 lives depending on the mission. Once you have lost all your hit points and are dead, you must take off your hat off and return to your base or armoury if permanently eliminated.
  17. Once you are out of that game, you are not allowed to speak to anyone.
  18. No projectiles are to be thrown, kicked or otherwise made airborne by participants.
  19. No participant shall engage in:
    • Reckless or foolish behaviour; or
    • Any behaviour likely to cause injury to themselves or other participants; or employees or agents of Laser Battlefield; or
    • physical contact; or
    • Any behaviour which Laser Battlefield deems in its absolute discretion to be unacceptable.
  20. Any participant injured, or observing another participant to be injured, shall immediately notify a Laser Battlefield staff member.
  21. No one is to leave the battlefield with any Laser Battlefield equipment.
  22. No firearms, live ammunition, blank fire pistols, knives or other weapons. Only equipment supplied by Laser Battlefield is permitted on the playing fields.
  23. No alcoholic beverages of any sort allowed on the Laser Battlefield venue.
  24. No illegal substances of any sort allowed on the Laser Battlefield venue.

There is no individual score and so focus is on the team, gamers do get however real time statistics including the number of hits, kills and re-spawns on their gaming gun. What you see is what you get. What you hear is what you get.

GUN SAFETY





The core technology used is focused infrared light and is eye safe. Infrared is on the safe side of the visible spectrum and is also the spectrum of choice for other military grade combat simulation equipment, like the U.S. Army M.I.L.E.S. system.
